NOENKEL TATTOO
Arno, better known to his friends as ‘Noenkel’ (Antwerp dialect for uncle) received his nickname for his family-like vibe when he was still a young rascal.
He developed his interest in tattoo culture at a young age and a few years ago started developing this intrest into an obsession. He now lives and breathes tattooing and bleeds ink. His work is deeply rooted in the American traditional style you can see on your grandparents. Timeless designs and bold lines are the building blocks for his masterpieces.
A few beers and laughs later we are very proud to announce our first collaboration. Three items intertwining the love for raving and electronic music with the dedication it requires to build out a brand that cares for people and is passionate about culture. Quality products combined with design that represent their own symbolic part of raving: a feeling of freedom, connection and total comfort to feel and act as yourself. With these 3 items combined, Strave x Noenkel will make you the baddest dancer at the function.
TESS FRANCKEN
Tess is a multidisciplinary creative with an unmistakable love for fashion. Currently studying interior architecture, her creative instinct reaches far beyond spaces and interiors.
Her world exists somewhere at the intersection of design, fashion and electronic music. Whether she’s experimenting with shapes and compositions, obsessing over the smallest visual details or losing herself on a dancefloor until the early hours, creativity is something that naturally finds its way into everything she does.
Fashion, in particular, has always been one of her biggest fascinations. Not simply as clothing, but as a way of expressing identity, personality and attitude. Her background in interior architecture gives her a distinctive approach to design: thinking in proportions, contrasts, materials, colours and the relationship between individual elements.
At the same time, rave culture plays an important part in her visual world. The freedom, energy and rawness of nightlife create an interesting contrast with the more considered and structured side of her architectural background.
For this collection, we invited Tess to bring those different worlds together and interpret STRAVE through her own creative lens.
The result is a collections shaped by someone who doesn’t necessarily think like a traditional fashion designer — and that’s exactly what makes it interesting.
